The Albergo Villa Marta is a charming nineteenth-century hunting lodge just 5km from the medieval walled town of Lucca. Set in a typical Tuscan landscape of rolling hills, verdant woodland and ancient olive groves, this handsome white stucco building offers a restful retreat to visitors. The picturesque medieval town of Lucca is easily accessible by car and not far away are the artistic and cultural centres of Florence, Pisa and Siena.

This magical family-run hotel has recently been lovingly restored and guests are guaranteed the highest standards of hospitality. There are 11 spacious and comfortable rooms, all with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, satellite/cable TV, direct-dial phone line, and a well-stocked minibar. Every room is tastefully and individually furnished and decorated and guests can choose between marvellous frescoed ceilings or magnificent views. Families can request interconnecting rooms or borrow cots and room service and laundry service are available.

There is an excellent restaurant (be sure to book in advance as it gets very popular in high season) serving delicious Lucchese specialities, such as Tuscan salami and Galletto Al Forno, while the inviting lounge/bar serves a range of cocktails and aperitivi. Keep-fit enthusiasts will enjoy swimming in the lovely outdoor pool or cycling around the delightful grounds.

There is round-the-clock service on the front desk and a porter is available at any time of day or night to help guests with their luggage. Courteous, knowledgeable staff are on hand to assist with every aspect of your holiday and can offer tourist information on the area or make travel arrangements on your behalf. Car parking is free (there is also a valet-parking service) and transport to and from the airport can be arranged by the hotel. All major credit cards are accepted.
