This handsome three-star hotel in Sardinia's Sassari province is located in the coastal fishing port of Alghero, which lies on the island's north westerly Riviera del Corallo - the coral coast. This lively and attractive town has become popular during recent years, yet still retains its distinctive Catalan character, derived from the influence of King Pedro of Aragon who arrived here during the fourteenth century. There is a lovely, cosmopolitan feel to Alghero, which is perhaps one of the more traditional of Sardinia's tourist centres and has plenty to offer in the way of lively bars, cafes and restaurants serving excellent, freshly caught seafood. There are also plenty of opportunities for excursion and day trips to the wonderful Grotta di Nettuno, or Neptune's cave, one of the country's most spectacular cave complexes.
