Casa Giulia Country House, Spoleto

This Spoleto hotel lies on the slopes outside Trevi, only two kilometres from Fonti Del Clitunno and 12 kilometres from Spoleto itself. Spoleto is situated in Umbria, in central Italy, and known as Il Cuore Verde d'Italia (the green heart of Italy). The name comes from the beautiful countryside and mountains in the region. This landlocked central Italian region (though it has the massive Lake Trasimeno) is quite stunning.

The Casa Giulia Country House, Spoleto is a 17th century country house which is still owned by the original landowning family and which has been transformed into a spacious country house hotel. Each of the seven large rooms comes complete with traditional paintings and furniture, and many of the rooms are air conditioned; some of the rooms feature original frescoes of the area. Because the hotel is fairly small, the friendly staff will be happy to help with any aspect of your holiday, and can organise walks and picnics upon request. Breakfast is served in the large garden during the summer months, and guests can also use the outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel is situated very close to Spoleto, and guests will be able to enjoy the many attractions of this ancient town. Whether it is the Roman structures such as the Ponte Sanguinario, the first century BC bridge (called 'the bloody bridge' because of the Christians killed at the nearby amphitheatre), the more modern features such as the Experimental Opera theatre, or the early medieval downtown area of the city, Spoleto has plenty to offer. This hotel in Spoleto is also well situated for trips to Rome (140km), Assisi (22km) and Perugia (45km), and is a great base for your Italian holiday.
