This stunning hotel in the Naples area is housed in a gorgeous eighteenth century villa which once belonged to the Marquis of Villarena, a prominent local aristocrat. It is located in the traditional fishing village of Nerano, close to Massa Lubrense, a well-known town which lies at the furthermost point of the Sorrento peninsula - there are delightful views of the Galli islands from the hotel. The Casale Villarena has been carefully and thoughtfully restored and the result is a charming, atmospheric hotel which deftly combines quirky period detail with modern comforts. The hotel complex includes a selection of independent self-catering apartments designed for guests looking for longer-term accommodation.

There are just 12 comfortable en-suite rooms here, all with generously proportioned bathroom facilities, cable/satellite TV, a DVD player and radio/alarm.
