What do you feature on the site?
Hotels across Italy, sorted by type, number of stars and location. We do not offer rentals, farmhouse holidays or the like - just hotels, in Italy.
Does it cost me anything to book through ahotelinitaly.com?
No. There are no extra charges, at any time, no surcharges, no fees, no additional costs whatsoever. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel unless otherwise stated in the hotel policy found on the hotel information pages.
How, and when, do I pay?
More often than not, you will pay nothing until you check out of the hotel, but will need to provide a valid credit card number at the time you make the booking. This card is always required by way of guarantee, but some hotels may make a charge on the card, typically for the first nights stay. Hotel payment policies vary from hotel to hotel, but we will always clearly display said policy during the booking procedure - see the 'View room details' links alongside each type of room shown as available.
How do I cancel and what will it cost me to cancel a reservation?
This card will be charged in the event of a cancellation deemed billable under the terms of the hotel cancellation policy. The hotel cancellation policy will always be displayed (on a room by room basis) during the booking process - again, click the 'Show room details' links for full information on cancellation terms; your confirmation email will contain a direct link to a page from where you may cancel your reservation.
What are your privacy and security policies?
We employ industry best-of-breed security practices and technology (read more on this here) and are vehemently opposed to any sort of spam and unwanted advertising. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. For more on how we use any information and how we protect your privacy please read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
How long will I have to wait before receiving confirmation of my booking?
You will receive an instant email confirmation of your hotel booking which you can print out and take with you to the hotel. The email will contain contact information for the hotel, a direct cancellation link, arrival and location instructions, and a reminder of the hotel policy and cancellation conditions.
How are Italian hotels classified?
The Italian State classifies hotels from one to five stars, but you'll find the odd property on ahotelinitaly.com that has 'no stars'. Why is this? Well, it's not uncommon to find a splendid old Italian villa that's been converted into luxury rooms and suites. You can stay for one or two nights, have room service, breakfast, even full restaurant dining - everything, in fact, that you'd expect to find in a hotel. Apart from that one tiny word, 'hotel'. The reasons for this will often have their roots in the fine national tradition of creative-interpretation-of-regulations. Think of them as 'Inns', perhaps, or 'Country Residences'. In fact, think of them as hotels.
Will I need to speak Italian?
No. Every stage of the booking procedure, all instructions and all emails are 100% English language.
Are your prices higher than those of the hotel itself?
No. Our prices have no hidden extras, are often discounted, and are regularly guaranteed to be the best available online.
That's it?
That's it. As we say - 'Italian hotels, safely and simply'. Book now or write to us for more information.
