This is a great place to stay for those wishing to spend time discovering Venice without the crowds or the expense of staying in the city itself. Mestre is a thriving local area with plenty of shops and a twice-weekly local market. The famous Venice Biennale exhibition of modern art and architecture is held every other year here in Mestre's Villa Ceresa. And there's very good public transport linking the area to Venice. The hotel has its own shuttle service into the city.
