This handsome four-star hotel in Levico Terme is housed in what was the historic summer residence of Austria's imperial family and set amid extensive ancient parkland just outside the beautiful spa town of Levico Terme. Brimming with the elegance of a bygone era, the Grand Hotel Imperial offers a unique holiday experience with excellent standards of comfort and hospitality and a wonderful old-world atmosphere.

There are 81 guest rooms altogether, including nine junior suites. Rooms are all individual and have modern en-suite bathroom amenities as well as a direct-dial telephone, minibar and satellite TV. Some rooms have been adapted to accommodate guests with disabilities, there are non-smoking rooms available and small, well-behaved pets are welcome. During the day, guests can wander around the ancient grounds or take a relaxing dip in one of the two swimming pools - one inside, one outside - or perhaps enjoy a game of tennis on one of the hotel's courts. There is also a spa and wellness centre with a sauna, Jacuzzi and a range of massage therapists on hand, a fitness centre and a games room with billiards and snooker.

There is friendly, efficient 24-hour service on the front desk and here guests can find an internet point, a safe-deposit box, bicycle rental and plenty of information about excursions and activities in the surrounding area. The hotel also has four separate restaurants each with a slightly different atmosphere offering a tempting range of regional and international cuisine. Families with young children are made most welcome with no charge for under-twos. Private parking is available on site at a small additional charge.
