The four-star Grand Hotel Imperiale gazes down upon Lago di Como (Lake Como) from its privileged position in Moltrasio. This peaceful resort is on the slopes of Mount Bisbino, on the western banks of the western leg of Lake Como. This is a magnificent Liberty-style building from the 1920s.

This is a great spot, where the lake is at its narrowest, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Lario and its villas. Built in 1920 as the Villa Regina, the Grand Hotel Imperiale was totally restored in 1995 and has been continually improved since. The hotel restaurant (l'Imperialino) is a particular favourite. As well as having terrific views of the lake, the hotel sits right next to the Moltrasio landing stage, an ideal departure point for taking boats to Como, Bellagio and the other points of interest on the lake. Nearby towns include Cernobbio, Brunate, Laglio, Mendrisio, Albavilla, Lezzeno, Pellio Intelvi and Tremezzo.
