The Grand Hotel Mediterranee is a gorgeous four-star hotel overlooking the sparkling Gulf of Alassio on Italy's popular Ligurian coast. The hotel is set in its own lovely gardens and idyllically situated in an attractive, sun-kissed spot close to the flower-filled promenade. There is a private beach where guests can stroll along beautiful, fine powdery sand and a delightful swimming pool fitted with envigorating hydro-massage jets and a counter-current machine against which serious swimmers can pit their prowess.

The hotel has 87 elegant en-suite rooms, all with direct-dial telephone, satellite television, in-room safe and a separate seating area with tea and coffee-making facilities and a minibar. Bathrooms are furnished with a built-in hairdryer and a complimentary bathrobe. Every room has a fabulous view either out over the Gulf or overlooking the rolling green hinterland. Cots or cribs and adjoining rooms are available for families and there is a special reduced rate for under-14s staying in their parents' room. A babysitting service is offered and the garden has a welcoming outdoor play area. Children's activities are on offer during the summer months.

The front desk is attended 24 hours per day and a porter is constantly on hand to show guests to their rooms and assist with heavy baggage. The hotel has a useful bureau de change as well as left-luggage and dry-cleaning facilities.

There is an elegant indoor restaurant as well as a more relaxed Gazebo and a bar where guests can enjoy drinks and light snacks under the shade of large umbrellas while enjoying the glorious sea views. All major credit cards are welcome.
