This impressive five-star hotel in Paestum, in Campania's Salerno province, is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay during a visit to this fascinating and culturally rich area of Italy. The Grand Hotel Tenuta Lupo boasts an exceptional location, just a couple of kilometres from the ancient walls of Poseidonia - the ancient Greek city upon which the later town of Paestum was built. This beautiful modern building is set amid beautifully landscaped gardens within the Zona Laura, a national park of nine hectares. To the north lies the beautiful Amalfi coastline, while to the south lies the lovely Cilento Coast and the Punta Licosa nature reserve. Part of the hotel complex is a former 19th-century hunting lodge with nine exclusive suites, and the hotel is particularly proud of its extremely popular Michelin-rated restaurant.

There are 66 handsome en-suite guest rooms here, all with individually controlled air conditioning, four direct-dial telephone points, colour television, personal safe, internet connectivity (with guests' own laptop) and a refrigerated minibar. Bathrooms offer a choice between a bracing shower or a relaxing bath and a selection of toiletries, and a built-in hairdryer is provided for your convenience. Spacious suites (each one with a minimum of 64 square metres of floor space) have an additional sitting room equipped with a sofa bed.

The restaurant is deservedly popular. Our chefs preside over a menu which features international specialities and typical Cilento/Mediterranean cuisine, prepared using delicious fresh fish and locally produced olive oils, fruit, vegetables and wine. Gastronomic events are held here regularly. There is also a pleasant lounge/bar with an excellent range of aperitifs and cocktails.
