Head out from Lecce and you find a delightful Adriatic coastline of rugged cliffs, hidden sandy beaches, rocky coves and ruined watchtowers. The hinterland of this part of Puglia is a delight too, rather like Greece in its flora and architecture, with the traditional white trulli houses.
