The Holiday Inn Venice Mestre-Marghera is ideally placed just 15km from the airport and around 8km from Venice itself. The hotel has its own shuttle bus to Piazzale Roma, the terminal for Venice's many ferry boats which connect the 'floating city' to the Veneto and the Italian mainland.
