A stunning historic hotel in Venice. Just 100 metres from Santa Lucia railway station, the Hotel Abbazia in Venice has been created in an old abbey in the heart of the city's historical centre. The hotel is built around a lovely inner garden - a haven in peace within the city. The building itself was originally home to the Barefooted Carmelite Friars of Venice. A recent restoration has satisfyingly retained the charm and historical integrity of this fine old building.

For centuries, of course, the abbey was a tranquil place of tradition and hospitality. Without stretching the analogy too far, much of that has been retained within the new establishment. Hospitality is, of course, the watchword. Rooms are doubles or triples (with single use thereof if required). Each has a minibar, satellite television, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, phone and hairdryer.
