Just six kilometres from Verona's historic centre, Hotel Alla Campagna is known as the "Chocolates and Flowers" hotel. Each of the 13 rooms is named after a flower and decorated and furnished according to that theme. The hotel is scented throughout with reviving aromatherapy fragrances, and there is a chocolate theme. Depending on the season, chocolate ice cream, cake or warming hot chocolate drinks appear to greet you on your arrival.

There is a choice between four- or three-bedded family rooms, doubles or twin rooms, each thoughtfully furnished and provided with direct-dial telephone, internet connection point, fax machine, minibar and satellite TV with optional rolling news channel. Tasteful en-suite bathrooms are adapted to accommodated those with disabilities and guests can choose between a bracing shower or a relaxing soak in the bath.

The excellent hotel restaurant (which has an entry in the acclaimed Michelin Red Guide) offers an imaginative menu featuring typical local specialities and fresh, seasonal produce. Children are welcome here and under-threes stay free of charge. There is an attractive outdoor play area in the garden, too.
