Hotel Alpino is situated next to a beautiful twelfth-century Romanesque church in the ancient village of Baveno on the western shores of Lake Maggiore. The elegant town of Stresa is just a little way along the coast and the hotel has wonderful views over the lake, which lies just 200 metres away. Here guests are surrounded by magnificent Alpine scenery. There are no fewer than four National Parks in the vicinity as well as numerous ski resorts and golf courses within easy reach of the hotel.

This charming family-run Italian hotel has just 20 comfortable rooms. Guests can choose between double, twin, single or family rooms, all with modern shower facilities, colour television and direct-dial telephone. The hotel restaurant is open between March and October and there is also a cosy bar area serving delicious home-made pizzas as well as a wide selection of aperitifs and soft drinks. Guests are welcome to bring small, well-behaved pets with them and there is a reduced rate for under-15s. Some rooms have their own balcony with lovely views out towards the lake.

Enthusiastic, welcoming staff will be happy to offer advice and information about the many attractions on offer in the Lake Maggiore region, and a range of excursions can be booked from the reception desk.
