Hotel Amadeus E Teatro, Turin
The Hotel Amadeus E Teatro, Turin is located in the centre of town, just a short walk from the main museums, galleries and monuments. The Mole Antonelliana is probably the most recognisable of these, as it is has become somewhat of an emblem for the city. It was originally built as a synagogue in the 19th century but the Jewish community of Turin ran out of money before completion and it was taken over by the council. The ornate, domed building is now home to the Museo del Cinema, which celebrates Turin as one of Italy's pioneering cities in the development of this 20th-century art form.
Also close by is the Piazza della Repubblica, or Porta Palazzo as it is sometimes known, which hosts Europe's largest market. Saturday fleamarket is packed with mystics offering to tell your fortune if you cross their palm with silver. The Lingotto centre can be easily reached from the hotel by public transport if you are attending an exhibition or trade event. Make sure you leave time to visit the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, while you are there. This small art collection donated by the head of the Fiat dynasty includes masterpieces by Picasso, Modigliani, Matisse and Manet.
This 3-star hotel in Turin has a wide range of services and facilities to suit both business guests and holidaymakers. It has a bar, meeting room, photocopier, laundry service, babysitting service, wireless internet throughout the building, free parking and an airport shuttle. The rooms are equally well equipped, with en-suite bathroom, minibar, trouser press, hairdryer, telephone and satellite TV.
