Hotel Amalfi, Amalfi
Dei Pastai 3, AmalfiRun by the Lucibello family, the Hotel Amalfi has been extending a warm and friendly welcome to guests visiting this beautiful part of Italy since 1972. Originally a pasta factory, the building is situated in the Truglio district, in the heart of Amalfi. It lies just a few steps from the Arab-Norman Cathedral overlooking the main square and within easy reach of the Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi.
The hotel has 40 elegantly furnished rooms, each with WC/shower, hair-dryer, telephone, satellite TV and safe. Many have air conditioning, for an additional fee. Some of the rooms have attractive balconies filled with geraniums.
Additional amenities at this charming hotel include an American bar, TV room, reading room, a spacious terrace garden where breakfast and dinner are served throughout the summer, a roof garden and a lift. There is an excellent restaurant on the fifth floor of the building, with huge glass windows affording an excellent view of the Mediterranean-style houses of Amalfi's historical centre. This serves typical regional dishes, using fresh local produce.
The hotel is within easy reach of the beaches, the piers with ferries to Salerno, Naples, Ischia, Capri and Positano, and the bus terminal. Garage parking is available just 100 metres from the hotel.
