This is a great spot for families wanting to discover Lucca and the other historic cities of Tuscany (Pisa, Siena and Florence are also easily accessible) while enjoying the peace and beauty of the Tuscan countryside.

This Porcari hotel is decorated with luxuriant Baroque-style furnishings. The medieval village of Montercarlo, nearby, sits in the heart of Tuscany and at the foot of the Lucchese hills. All the architectural elements have been kept in place. With brick archways, wooden beams, curb walls and stone stairways, right down to the centuries-old oak tree in the garden (from which the neighbouring stream takes its name) this is the real Tuscany.
