This comfortable, family-run two-star hotel in Florence is housed inside a magnificent classical building. The Hotel Angelica has an excellent location in a quiet side street just 100 metres from Santa Maria Novella's mainline railway station. There are excellent transport links from here to every part of the city and the vast majority of the major cultural and historic attractions are easily walkable. The Angelica is perfect for business guests, too - the national exhibition centre of Fortezza da Basso and the Palazzo dei Congressi are both nearby. This Florence hotel was completely renovated during 2006 and now offers comfortable, homely accommodation in a very convenient location.

There are just 12 guest rooms here, all with individually controlled air conditioning, direct-dial telephone, satellite television, a well-stocked minibar and a private bathroom with a shower. A continental buffet breakfast is included in the room rate and all rooms are accessible by lift/elevator. Several rooms have their own balcony offering lovely views of Florence and all windows are double glazed to minimise disturbance during the night.

The Angelica has a pleasant bar with a friendly, welcoming ambience and an excellent range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as coffee. A particularly nice feature of this hotel is the lovely roof terrace where guests can go to relax and enjoy the superb views over the city. Staff on the front desk are friendly and helpful and English is spoken here. Guests will find a good range of tourist information on reception, which is manned 24 hours a day, along with a left-luggage and storage facility, a currency exchange, safety-deposit facilities and a valet parking service. Parking can be found in the area immediately around the hotel and there is also an internet point.
