The refined four-star Hotel Antico Borgo La Muratella, located near Bergamo and close to the old town of Cologno Serio, was previously a noble's country house, built in the 1500s. Following renovations in 2006 it has subsequently become an elegant hotel that reflects its medieval past, with furnishings that respect its antique origins.

Upon entering this impressive hotel via its long driveway, ancient wood doors and stone staircases there is a real sense of history experienced by the visitor. In fact, the hallway of the hotel was recovered from the original entrance of the historical main residence. A stained-glass window runs along the entire length and gives a spectacular view of the park opposite the hotel, consisting of carefully manicured green lawns and colourful flower beds.

The 68 restored rooms in the main building and converted stables boast lovely high ceilings and offer all modern conveniences such as adjustable air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi internet connection, private bathroom, mini-bar, refrigerator and electronic door lock. Guests are invited to use the well-being centre and sauna within the hotel, offering the chance to relax and unwind with special treatments and relaxing massages.
