This pleasant little three-star hotel in Chianti is strategically located just off the major A146 road and not far from the historic centre of Pienza. Nearby are all the facilities one would expect in a modern city: banks, shops and high-quality restaurants. The historic centre is lined with beautifully preserved Renaissance buildings and churches. Siena, with its lovely central square and magnificent medieval buildings lies just 40 kilometres away and Florence and Lucca are both within easy reach for a day trip or excursion. All around Pienza is the wonderful Val d'Orcia - a magical valley practically untouched by modern development. This is typical Chianti countryside: vine-clad hills and shady olive groves bathed in the Tuscan sunshine.
