Hotel Baltic, Rome
This Rome hotel is close to the city centre, near to the Porta Pia, putting the historical and contemporary sights of this enticing city within easy reach. The Hotel Baltic was opened in the 1960s in a 19th century Liberty-style building. It lies just in front of the Porta Pia and five minutes' walk from the Via Veneto. The family-run hotel has a cafe and bar that stay open until midnight and staff will be happy to arrange discounts on local restaurants and car parking. There is free internet access here, and the front desk staff will be happy to help you arrange airport transfers and city tours.
Each of the 23 rooms is air conditioned and some have wonderful views of the Porta Pia. All have full en-suite bathroom facilities as well as a hairdryer so that you have one less thing to worry about, and a minibar has been included so you can relax with a cold drink or snack. The rooms are traditionally decorated and also include a television and telephone so you can make private calls. A hotel of some character with good facilities and terrific access to the sights of central Rome.
