Hotel Belle Arti is in Venice's Dorsoduro district (or 'sestiere'), a new three-star hotel offering traditional Venetian comfort and hospitality. This is the historic heart of Venice (Venezia), and many of the city's main attractions (including Piazza San Marco, the Rialto and the Accademia) are nearby. Sandwiched between the Grand Canal and the boat stop at Zattere, you are never far from the water here, and the gondolas and vaporetti (water taxis) are always on hand to help you explore this magical city.

Dorsoduro is one of the oldest parts of Venice, including Giudecca and the Isola Sacca Fisola. Threaded along the Giudecca Canal, the first houses in this area were built as early as the sixth century. Attractions in the district include the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Palazzo Zenobio, Ca Foscari, Ca Rezzonico and the Accademia.

Though in the heart of the city, this is a quiet, tranquil location. The hotel has a garden, and all the rooms are decorated in traditional Venetian style, with Murano glass lamp fittings. Every room has a private bathroom with shower, satellite TV, direct phone, air conditioning, hairdryer and safe. You can take your breakfast each morning in the garden, weather permitting. There is a choice of single, double and triple rooms. Front desk staff are on hand 24 hours a day, and are happy to give advice on excursions, restaurants and to book concert tickets. A free boat trip leaves the hotel at 10am each day for Murano.
