Hotel Calabona is a large and rather glamorous four-star hotel in a peaceful, coastal setting about 20 minutes' walk north of Alghero, Sardinia. The Riviera del Corallo (coral reef) here attracts snorkellers and scuba divers and the views towards Capo Caccia are breathtaking. A short walk along the coast brings you to the wonderful town of Alghero itself, with its striking Catalan architecture and stunning medieval city walls. Alghero seems somehow suspended in time with the many fishing boats still bobbing in the pretty harbour. The Sassari counryside all around has an abundance to offer in the way of wildlife and rugged natural beauty. All in all, this is an ideal stepping off place for exploring the island of Sardinia.

Hotel Calabona has 110 modern, comfortable rooms, all with en-suite bathroom facilities, hairdryer, direct-dial telephone, satellite TV, internet connection, safety deposit box and minibar. All the rooms have their own private balcony with views out to sea and there is a 50 per cent reduction for under-12s staying in their parents' room.
