The Casa Mariantonia is a delightful hotel on Capri. Set in beautiful parkland, in a pedestrianised part of Capri's 'second' town of Anacapri, it offers the chance to enjoy an Italian vacation away from the hustle and bustle on this beautiful Mediterranean island.

The hotel has been recently renovated in the classic style of Capri. It sits within a lush and extensive garden of citrus trees and Mediterranean plants and shrubs. From here you can stroll down to the town, wander through pretty little lanes of traditional shops (unbothered by traffic of course) and admire some of the local architectural gems, including the Chiesa San Michele (church).

The staff at this Anacapri hotel are friendly and welcoming - their aim is to ensure that you get the maximum possible enjoyment from your stay at the Hotel Casa Mariantonia. This building occupies an important place in the history of Anacapri. It was built in 1800, and has served as the island home for many famous visitors, among them the writer Alberto Moravia, the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, and one of Italy's most famed and beloved performers - the actor, writer and songwriter Toto.

The Casa Mariantonia was born when Signora Mariantonia, grandmother of the present owners, opened a restaurant here, which grew into a small hotel. The business passed to her daughter Vincenza who managed the residence with her husband, don Peppe Canale, until the 1950s. It was here that the Limoncello di Capri liqueur was born, the lemon liqueur created by Signora Mariantonia herself, from the lemons grown in the garden of the Casa.
