In high season, although there are admittedly many to choose from, the beaches along this stunning bit of coast are understandably busy. Armed with some local advice, picnic lunch and perhaps some scooters these idyllic,hidden beaches can be yours, and yours alone. Perhaps this on its own is worth the flight to Sardinia but you would be hard pushed to find a more ideally located and comfortable hotel than the Hotel Colonna San Marco.
