The Hotel Continental Terme is in the heart of Ischia Porto, the island's main town. And yet this attractive and singular hotel, set in a cluster of Mediterranean buildings, lies in 30,000 square metres of parkland and offers a winning range of services.

The hotel, on Via Michele Mazzella, has 244 bedrooms and suites, and boasts one of the best equipped spas on an island that for millennia has been prized for its thermal resorts. There are rooms for business meetings and parties, a reading and games room, the American bar with its terrace onto the swimming pool. Visit too the piano bar, which provides a marvellously relaxing way to spend an hour or two over a cocktail or after dinner.

This Ischia hotel has a choice of swimming pools, the Olimpica and the Tifeo, and the Tropicale, with the solarium (sun deck) adjacent. There are plenty of deckchairs and beach umbrellas to assist your worshipping of the hot Italian sun. And the five spa water swimming pools, of various sizes and with the waters ranging from 28°C to 37°C, are beautifully located amidst the shrubs and exotic flowers of the hotel park.

Younger guests are not overlooked. There is an area of the grounds carpeted in lush lawn, and equipped with a slide, swing, rocking horses on springs and other games. Shady trees provide a cooling umbrella for the bowling green, and a private tennis court sits in the lee of the cool pine woods that surround the town. There are lessons available.
