This two-star hotel in Verona, Italy is set 20 kilometres out of town. Getting into Verona is quick and easy, but you can also enjoy some of Italy's loveliest countryside. One of Italy's most ancient and attractive cities, Verona is the second largest town in the Veneto after Venice itself. Not far from Lake Garda and nestling at the feet of the Venetian pre-Alpine hills, Verona enjoys a pleasant, mild climate. Perhaps best known for the setting of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, this city also has a wealth of magnificent Roman remains, including an awesome amphitheatre - the third largest in the world - seating up to 15,000 people (venue for the annual opera season) and an imposing Roman theatre. It's a wonderful city to explore on foot, with its winding medieval alleyways fringed by elegant rose-coloured buildings and a gently lapping river crossed by impossibly lovely, arching bridges.

Situated along an enchanting panoramic in the rolling pre-Alpine hills about 600 metres above sea level, Hotel Cristina is surrounded by the olive groves and vineyards of the valley of Lessina; this hotel complex serves and an excellent base for holiday touring the Veneto. There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and the weather is usually temperate and mild here.

The hotel has 50 spacious rooms, all with central heating, direct-dial telephone and colour TV. Every room has its own modern, en-suite bathroom featuring a shower and toilet and a delightful buffet breakfast is served between 7 and 10 am each morning. Children are welcome and under-fours stay free of charge in their parents' room. There is also a reduced tariff for five to 12-year-olds.

Hotel Cristina has an attractive a la carte restaurant serving lunch and dinner. There is also a friendly lounge/bar where guests can relax and unwind over a drink or a light snack.
