This lovely three-star hotel is set just in front of the little harbour in the Lake Garda-side town of Castelletto di Brenzone. The Hotel Danieli La Castellana is family run - a real plus with traditional Italian and Veneto region cuisine in the restaurant, and all accompanied by the best wines of the region (Bardolino and Valpolicella are near neighbours and this is terrific wine-growing country). The Danielli family have been running things here for nearly 30 years; the building meanwhile dates back to the fifteenth century.

After a happy and tiring day spent sailing, hiking, surfing or fishing (there is beautiful country to discover around the lake as well as the waters of Garda itself) you can return and simply relax. Unwind with a cocktail in the Bar Cafe and then enjoy your evening meal. The hotel has facilities for guests with disabilities, WiFi internet access, a ticket and tour service, packed lunches for your days out exploring, and can arrange and organise pretty much anything ... just ask. Rooms here are a mix of singles, twins and doubles (which you can take on bed and breakfast or half board basis). All have bathroom with shower, TV and phone.

You are perfectly placed for all the activities on Lake Garda here, with diving, boat trips, windsurfing and any number of other watersports. There is beautiful countryside to discover to the east, as Monte Baldo rises quickly from the shores of the lake to meet the Alps to the east and north. The historic city of Verona is not far south east of here, and the city's international airport is within easy reach.
