Hotel Europa, Genoa, is a centrally located, modern three-star hotel a short distance from the Piazza Principe railway station and conveniently placed for Cristoforo Colombo international airport, the ferry harbour and bus terminal. Despite its central location, Hotel Europa is surprisingly quiet and peaceful with a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.

Formerly a magnificent Byzantine stronghold, which rivalled Venice and Pisa, Genoa has much to offer the visitor. The city has an enthralling maritime history and numerous architectural treasures, and in more recent times it has been voted European Capital of Culture. Modern attractions include Europe's largest aquarium, a state-of-the-art sea-and-navigation museum and the Citta dei Bambini, a wonderful interactive science museum for children of all ages. Landlubbers will enjoy meandering through Genoa's veritable rabbit warren of medieval streets and exploring the dozens of treasure-filled churches and handsome Renaissance villas. The city also has plenty in the way of tempting eateries and fashionable boutiques.

There are 38 simply furnished, comfortable rooms, all with private bathroom, hairdryer, direct-dial telephone line, colour TV and minibar. Families are made very welcome by the friendly, helpful hotel staff, and are permitted stay free of charge in their parents' room. Small pets are also welcome by prior arrangement with the management. A tasty continental-style breakfast can be taken either in the bright, convivial breakfast room or in your hotel bedroom.

The hotel has a useful laundry service and polite, friendly staff are on hand to offer tourist information and help guests with their transport requirements. Both Visa and MasterCard are welcome.
