Hotel K, Salerno

The pretty three-star Hotel K is located in the bustling port of Salerno on the Amalfi Coast. Covered in green vines, the hotel is situated on the waterfront of a relatively new part of town and it is a short ride away from sights such as the eleventh century Duomo (cathedral) and the Museo Diocesano, which is home to most of the cathedral's treasures. Run by the Bartoli family since 1964, Hotel K has a friendly atmosphere. It was renovated in 2004 and has 53 light and spacious rooms in a double or triple size. Breakfast is included and the rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, a telephone, television and minibar. Some of the rooms are also equipped with a Jacuzzi hydromassage bath and a safe.

This Salerno hotel is also close to other sights in the area, such as the historic sites of Pompeii and Paestum, while pretty seaside towns including Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Ravello are only a car or boat ride away. After a day's sightseeing - or sunbathing on one of Salerno's beaches - you can enjoy a meal at the hotel's restaurant and a cocktail in its comfortable lounge bar.
