Hotel Kappa is an attractive, friendly hotel in the centre of Mestre, just 15 minutes from the centre of Venice and close to the airport and main Milan-Venice motorway. Mestre is a busy local area with a twice-weekly market and a host of good shops. The world-famous Venice Biennale exhibition of modern art and architecture is held every other year here in Mestre's Villa Ceresa and there's an efficient public transport system which runs late into the night connecting Venice to the mainland. Close at hand are the pretty medieval city of Treviso and picturesque Padua with its network of medieval streets and rich cultural history.

The hotel has 20 simply, yet comfortably furnished en-suite rooms, all with cable/satellite TV, direct-dial phone line, high-speed internet link and minibar. There is also a beautiful 'apartment suite' with two adjoining rooms plus a large bathroom with both bathtub and shower - ideal for families.

As well as 24-hour service on reception, there is also a useful dry-cleaning and laundry service plus a bureau de change and safety deposit facility. Friendly, attentive staff can help guests with tourist information and make travel reservations on your behalf. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, a selection of restaurants, bars and pizzerias are in the vicinity. Free car parking is nearby and all major credit cards are welcome.
