Much of the centre is closed to traffic, making it pleasant to explore on foot at your leisure. The surrounding area has a huge amount to offer in the way of art, culture and natural beauty. The cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena are within easy reach, the magical Versilian coast is close at hand, and the soaring Apuan Alps with their many hiking and cycling trails are just a short distance north.

There is a relaxed atmosphere here and all 29 rooms are equipped with their own private bathroom facilities (the majority have showers, while two have Jacuzzi bathtubs). Rooms are comfortably air-conditioned and have satellite television, direct-dial telephone, a fitted hairdryer and a minibar stocked with drinks and snacks. Extra beds are available on request. Breakfast is available at a small additional charge.
