Lombardy's Hotel La Perla is in Tremezzo, on the western banks of Lake Como (the bottom lefthand fork of the lake). Constructed in 1962 as a summer house, this lovely accommodation was restored in 1980 as a small hotel. With just 20 rooms, most with their own balcony, this Como hotel offers a peaceful getaway with lovely views over the waters. The hotel is set over three floors, each room being comfortably reached via lift/elevator. One room has been especially designed to accommodate guests with disabilities.

Rooms are tastefully furnished and have every modern comfort - air conditioning and flatscreen television included. After a relaxing day exploring and enjoying the Italian Lakes you have all the comforts of home, and more. Tremezzo is a charming little town. Lying some 60km north of the city of Milan (Milano) and around 20km north-east of Como, it is big enough to provide everything you need (with a population of some 1400) but is blessedly free of the bustle of the city. Nearby towns include Menaggio, Porlezzo, Rovio, Pellio Intelvi, Griante and Lezzeno.

Rooms here are doubles (with lake view) and family suites. Your room has a minibar, desk and lamp, direct dial phone and bathroom. Breakfast is provided. The hotel has a lounge and bar, open-air swimming pool, gardens and play areas, free parking for guests and internet access. There is excellent hiking and rambling in this area (and quite beautiful countryside of course) and all the fun of watersports and trips out onto Lake Como.
