Hotel L'Antico Convitto, Amalfi

This attractive three-star hotel in Amalfi lies just a few steps from the town's imposing cathedral and the Piazza del Duomo. The beach is just a short walk away and the town's many delightful restaurants and trattorias are on your doorstep. Amalfi's Hotel L'Antico Convitto was comprehensively restored in 2005 and now offers excellent standards of three-star accommodation with a choice of single, double, twin, triple and family rooms as well as a selection of luxurious suites. Although the hotel is very central, the ambience here is quiet and peaceful, with the sound of the Duomo bells punctuating the day from time to time. Some of the views from the guest rooms are quite spectacular.

There are just ten guest rooms here, each individually furnished and decorated, with spacious bathrooms and an excellent range of facilities including satellite television, internet connection point, direct-dial telephone, a generously stocked minibar and a small personal safe. Junior suites also have a Jacuzzi-style hydromassage tub in the bathroom and some of the family rooms have an adjoining seating area with a double sofa bed and fully equipped kitchenette. Breakfast is included in the room rate and this is served, continental style, in the hotel's bright, airy breakfast room.

There is friendly, attentive 24-hour service on the reception desk and although fluent English is not spoken here, staff will do their utmost to provide tourist information and advice about Amalfi and the surrounding area. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, however there is a wide choice of restaurants and bars in the immediate area to suit every taste and budget.
