Hotel Le Plejadi offers three-star comfort in the 'centro storico' of Castellamare del Golfo. This is apartment style accommodation, with just eight apartments arranged over three floors. Each has kitchenette and bathroom, pay TV, tea and coffee maker, air conditioning, hairdryer and balcony. These studio apartments sleep two or three guests. Some of the apartments are both accessible and equipped for guests with disabilities. All are nicely furnished, elegant and sober in style, and all can be reached by lift/elevator.

This Castellamare del Golfo hotel has been created within a fine old building, dating from 1895, and now beautifully restored. You are very well located here, with the nearby beach, shops, market, bars and restaurants, paper shops and tobacconists - everything you need is nearby. And this stretch of western Sicilian coastline is quite lovely - a mix of sandy beaches, precipitous sea cliffs, little creeks and coves and beautiful countryside inland.

Sights in Castellamare del Golfo include the Aragonese castle, which guards the sea approach to the town. Nearby sights include the lovely little sea village of Scopello (home to writer and naturalist Gavin Maxwell in the 1950s). There is a beautiful beach for swimming at Cala Bianca, and the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro nearby. Check out the superb hilltop town of Erice and the ancient temple at Segesta (a Doric temple dating from 424BC). Another very nice day out is a boat trip to the Egadi Islands, reached by hydrofoil from nearby Trapani.
