There is plenty to see and do in and around Rimini of course. Head south along the front and you come to Riccione, sometimes dubbed 'Ibiza on the Adriatic' for its brilliant club scene. For those with more sedate tastes, there is much of historical and cultural interest in Rimini itself: Roman remains including the Arco Augusto; superb Renaissance buildings such as the remarkable Tempio Malatestiana. Head up the coast and you'll come to San Marino, one of Europe's tiniest countries; head inland and you can explore the beautiful hinterland of the Emilia-Romagna region.
