Hotel Locanda Canal is beautifully situated in a quiet spot just a short stroll away from St Mark's Square and the elegant Rival degli Schiavoni. The Grand Canal and the famous Rialto Bridge, the setting for Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, is also very close. Ferries leave regularly from the nearby Fondamente Nuove landing stage to Murano, Burano and Torcello - all fascinating places for a day trip or excursion.

Housed in a lovely old palazzo on the canal side, this hotel in Italy has just eight enchanting rooms, all with their own private bathroom fitted with an invigorating Jacuzzi-style shower. Every room has satellite television, a personal safe, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and internet connection point. As well as six standard double rooms there is also a single and a luxurious junior suite with romantic views over the canal.
