This four-star Sicily hotel is wonderfully located in the heart of the old part of Ragusa, the provincial capital of this south-eastern region. Ragusa Ibla, the lower town, was destroyed in the 1693 earthquake, completely rebuilt in Sicilian Baroque style and is now a bustling and charming warren of narrow lanes and eighteenth century facades, and the hotel is situated right in among them. This area boasts several such towns of Baroque-period splendour. Noto is considered the most beautiful.
