Hotel Lupori, Viareggio

It has some beautiful Liberty-style houses by Galileo Chini, and retains much of its fin de siecle charm - this was a very chi-chi resort in Edwardian times. Today there is much fun to be had, with extensive beaches, some excellent restaurants, bars and ice cream shops (gelaterie) and some good shopping.
