This cosy little family-run hotel in Piedmont offers traditional Italian hospitality in a pleasant location on the banks of Lake Orta, a smaller sister lake close to Lake Maggiore. Lake Orta lies in the middle of a circle of green hills dotted with elegant houses and a plethora of little rivers and streams that flow down from the Valsesia and Mottarone mountains. This is a great place to stay for those looking for a low-key hotel in an unspoilt, natural location - the Hotel Madonna Della Neve, Pettenasco has its own private beach on the lake and all around lies stunning natural countryside punctuated by nature trails and cycling routes which meander through some lovely countryside.

This Lake Orta hotel has ten simply furnished en-suite rooms, all with central heating and cable/satellite television; an English breakfast is included in the room rate. Double rooms have a sunny balcony with lovely views and larger rooms can accommodate up to five people. There is a reduced tariff for children under the age of ten.

The guest house has a small restaurant serving a constantly changing menu of seasonal local dishes and classic Italian cooking. During the summer months, dinner is served al fresco in the hotel's attractive gardens. There is also a pleasant lounge bar with a wide choice of aperitifs and cocktails and the restaurant has an extensive wine list featuring lots of local wines, many of which are not available outside Italy.

Staff are friendly and helpful and will be happy to offer advice and information about the area around Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore. Parking can be found in the vicinity of the hotel.
