Hotel Miramonte is a wonderful family-run three-star hotel set in fabulous hilly countryside about 25km from the delightful town of Bergamo. From the hotel there are stunning mountain views, and some lovely walks around the village and the surrounding area. The city of Bergamo, with its lovely medieval centre, has lots to offer in the way of history and culture, and the waterside resorts of Lake Como are just a short drive away.

The hotel has 50 rooms spread over seven floors. Every room has its own private bathroom fitted with a hairdryer and toiletries as well as a balcony with stupendous views. The bedroom itself has a separate seating area equipped with satellite television and direct-dial telephone with fax facility. Wake-up calls with your newspaper delivered to your room are available on request and guests can choose between a sumptuous full-English breakfast or a delicious Continental-style buffet. An iron and ironing board are also provided and families are made to feel particularly welcome with the provision of cots, high-chairs and a babysitting service. There is a reduced rate for under-13s.

An excellent restaurant with panoramic views over the valley offers a choice of traditional regional flavours with heavenly home-made pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as locally-caught game and scrumptious pastries and ice-cream. There is also an atmospheric lounge/bar where guests can enjoy a drink in a cosy, relaxed environment.

There is 24-hour service on reception and nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who offer a useful travel reservation service as well as safety-deposit, left-luggage and parcel-post facilities. The hotel is surrounded by jogging and nature trails and mountain bikes can be hired for day trips and excursions. A variety of outdoor pursuits are offered in the surrounding area, including horse-riding, golf and hiking.
