This luxurious five-star hotel in Lucca is set in a gorgeous 18th century palace in the old part of the city. The Hotel Noblesse, Lucca is a perfect base from which to enjoy this quite unique Tuscan town. Lucca is probably the most charming of Tuscany's provincial cities and lies within massive defensive walls, dating from the Middle Ages and still completely intact. The walls are topped with pretty gardens and the huge bastions dominate the grassed 'moat' area without. The famous cultural centres of Florence and Siena are within easy driving distance and the countryside around is lovely. You have the soaring Apuan Alps to the north, the glorious Chianti area to the south and Versilia's wonderful pine-fringed beaches to the west.

This very handsome and historic hotel has just 13 rooms arranged over three floors; eight doubles and five suites, each individually decorated and furnished with comfort and taste. All rooms have their own beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom fitted with hairdryer, Jacuzzi shower and bathtub. Rooms all have all the comforts one would expect of a hotel of this calibre, including LCD television with satellite connection, CD player, internet connection point (by infra-red keyboard) and a generously stocked minibar.

Children under the age of 12 sharing their parents' room stay free of charge and the hotel has a babysitting service and outdoor play area. A delicious buffet breakfast is served each morning either in the beautiful breakfast room or out in the attractive hotel garden.
