The hotel is named after the Venetian painter Francesco Guardi, who has many works in the Accademia gallery, and it is said that some of Guardi's works were inspired by the views from this very hotel's windows. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, with its impressive collection of modern art, is a short walk away, as well as the spectacular Basilica della Salute, built by the Venetians to celebrate having overcome the plague in medieval times.
This hotel in Venice is composed of two buildings, one with a beautiful lounge with a striking view of the canal and the other with a stunning breakfast hall that is decorated with authentic 15th century wooden beams. A range of room sizes is available, ranging from a double room to a suite for up to six people. All the rooms are furnished in a traditional Venetian style, some with reproductions of Guardi's works on the walls.
