Hotel Palladio, Marghera
Via Malcontenta 40, Malcontenta (Venezia)The Hotel Palladio is in Marghera, on Veneto's mainland, and on the fringes of the Brenta Riviera. This area is famed for its magnificent patrician villas - built for the aristocratic families of Venice from the sixteenth century onwards, as an escape from the bustle and noise of their crowded city. The doyen of architects of these 'Veneto villas' was Andrea Palladio - who in rediscovering the lines of Roman and Greek buildings, invented the Neoclassical style that became known as 'Palladian' architecture.
The Hotel Palladio may not be built along Neoclassical lines but it does offers clean, simply functional accommodation - a bright and comfortable environment, with plenty of services and facilities which make this the perfect choice for business or pleasure. The hotel was opened in 2001 and has a great location, lying along the main Venice-Padua road (and canal) and close to Venice's Marco Polo Airport. From here too, it's just a short ride to the Ponte della Liberta, the road and rail bridge that takes visitors from the mainland, across the Lagoon, to the historic islands of Venice.
The Hotel Palladio is situated in a delightfully green and relaxed setting, and has 71 rooms, with facilities for guests with disabilities. All rooms have private bathroom with shower, satellite television, air conditioning, minibar, desk and lamp, and in-room safe. The front desk is open 24 hours for any enquiries and help on making the most of your stay in Veneto. There is a restaurant and lounge bar, a free car park and meeting rooms.
