The name gives it away - this hotel is set in one of the most romantic locations of this most romantic of Italian cities. The Hotel Piazza di Spagna lies on Via Mario De'Fiori, just two minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and the Piazza di Spagna itself. Who knows why you're visiting Rome, but we would suggest that this is a great base both for shopping and sightseeing (so many shops and so much to see, you had better plan well!)

This is family-run accommodation, always a bonus in an Italian hotel, and it has been entirely renovated and refurbished throughout. Each room has its own special character, and there is a charming new breakfast room to complement the accommodation. And of course, being right in the historic heart of downtown Rome, you are within walking distance of many of the major sights. If you're not up to walking the streets, you'll find an excellent public transport system, with a number of Metro stations nearby, with Spagna and Barberini-Fontana di Trevi both within easy reach. Just a few minutes stroll north of here is the Villa Borghese with its sumptuous gardens. Head west meanwhile and you quickly come to the River Tiber, with bridges over to the Vatican City, St Peter's Square and Trastevere.
