The Hotel Piccolo Paradiso is newly built accommodation on Italy's gorgeous Gargano Promontory. This is the northern coastline of Puglia, where the region pushes out into the blue waters of the Italian Adriatic. This 'little paradise' occupies a prime spot in Rodi Garganico - a raised panoramic position some 600 metres from a fully equipped private beach.

With its open air swimming pool overlooking the sandy beach, a beautiful garden with play areas for the children and a spacious and nicely equipped solarium (sun deck) and bar, this Puglia hotel is all open relaxation. There is a piano bar, marvellous for unwinding after a day in the sun. And the restaurant, serving the best of the cuisine of Puglia and Italy, is a delight too. Set in delightful green surroundings, it has large picture windows and is air conditioned.

Rooms, meanwhile, are single, double, triple or quadruple. All have bathrooms with shower, air conditioning, TV and phone. There are rooms suitable for those with limited mobility and all private and public spaces at the Piccolo Paradiso are non smoking. Nearby sights include the sea lagoons at Lago di Lesina and Lago di Varano (superb wildfowl habitats), and the Padre Pio pilgrimage town of San Giovanni Rotondo. The promontory is protected as the Parco Nazionale del Gargano and just inland of here you have the beautiful Foresta Umbria (the shadowed forest) - a quite stunning part of Italy.
