Hotel Piemonte, Rome
This hotel in Rome is a family-run three-star establishment dating back to World War II. It was remodelled in 1999 and now has 26 rooms, all of which are air conditioned and have hairdryers and toiletries, television with Sky, telephone, minibar, safety deposit box and internet connection sockets. The hotel also offers a concierge service at the 24-hour front desk, including a travel reservation service, safety deposit boxes, airport transfer and left luggage facilities, as well as the option to borrow cots/cribs on request. The friendly staff will also be happy to advice you on local restaurants and monuments.
The Hotel Piemonte is close to all of Rome's important architectural sights, including the Classical centre of 'Antica Roma', with the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Foro Romano (Roman Forum). There is the Vatican and Sistine Chapel of course, and the Vatican Museums are an absolute treasure house of European painting and sculpture; you could spend weeks exploring. And Rome has some of Europe's most romantic architecture too, with the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain evoking the Eternal City of Fellini's La Dolce Vita. The hotel is also a registered city guide for tours of Rome; the staff are very knowledgeable about local garages for car parking and other information about the surrounding area.
