The Hotel Porta Palio is a newly built three-star hotel in Verona, arranged over five floors. Conveniently situated for the motorway/highway exit, the Trade Fair district and around a 20-minute walk from the city centre, the hotel offers comfortable, modern accommodation. The city of Verona has much of the charm of its more famous sister city, Venice, but without the year-round crowds. Along with its wealth of gorgeous historic architecture dating from Roman times, there are plenty of lovely restaurants here and Verona is also a major centre for Italian wines - Italy's famous wine fair, Vinitaly, is held here each year in April, when there are plenty of opportunities to taste some delicious wines.
