This pretty hotel in Positano has a fantastic beachside location in the picturesque Amalfi Coast resort. Featured in the film, Under the Tuscan Sun, Hotel Pupetto has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and some of the best sea views in Positano. The hotel is practically on the beach front, the town centre is a five-minute walk, and there are plenty of opportunities for excursions to nearby Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento and the islands of Capri and Ischia.

There are 34 light, spacious rooms, all with excellent en-suite bathroom facilities and a private balcony offering mesmerising sea views. Rooms are provided with individually controlled air conditioning, satellite colour television, direct-dial telephone and a safety deposit box, and a buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Five superior rooms are extra spacious and each has a lovely panoramic terrace.

A particularly attractive feature of Hotel Pupetto is the excellent restaurant with its enormous terrace which overhangs the sea. It boasts a menu of seafood specialities made using freshly caught fish and seasonal local produce. There is also a more informal pizzeria, which is famous for its lemon-wood fired, oven-baked pizzas. There is also a barbecue where fresh fish is cooked daily. Right in front of the hotel lies the beach at Fornillo. Here the hotel has its own private beach bar at which guests can hire sun loungers and umbrellas, borrow diving equipment or join guided tours of the nearby national park of Punta Campanella. The hotel also has excellent meeting facilities for business travellers and friendly, helpful 24-hour service on the front desk.
